EXPERIENCE OF UZBEKISTAN AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES IN THE FIELD OF CRIME PREVENTION

Abstract

This article presents a comparative legal analysis of the experiences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign countries in the field of crime prevention. The purpose of this article is to study modern crime prevention models, evaluate the existing legislative framework and practices in Uzbekistan, and identify opportunities for utilizing international and foreign experience. The formal-legal, comparative-legal, systemic-structural, and statistical methods were used in the process of writing this article. As a result of the analysis, Japan's community-oriented "koban" system, Germany's "evidence-based approach to the preventive system," South Korea's "artificial intelligence and video surveillance technologies," and the UN's international standards and recommendations on crime prevention were studied and compared with the practices in Uzbekistan. The article provides a number of specific recommendations for improving Uzbekistan's legislation on crime prevention based on international standards and models. In particular, proposals have been developed for the effective use of digital technologies in crime prevention in Uzbekistan and for improving the activities of research institutes in this field. Furthermore, the necessity of developing a unique model adapted to Uzbekistan's socio-cultural characteristics, namely the "traditions of the mahalla" and "family and neighborly relations," is legally substantiated.
